We do not have an hourly rate which is chargeable to customers. All jobs are priced according to task. We make a decision as to how long the task will take and then multiply that by a constant. The constant used for the multiplication varies according to whether it is a domestic service, commercial service, builders clean, a one off clean or a contract clean. Variations are then added according to equipment used , materials used and degree of traveling involved . Consequently working out the cost of the job is not a simple task of quoting an hourly rate it involves the manipulation of a complex set of variables which change from job to job.
Does commercial cleaning differ from residential cleaning?
Essentially no. The same principles of cleaning and adoption of high standards applies equally to both commercial and domestic work.
How do we pay you?
Commercial customers are invoiced every month.
Domestic customers can be billed on a monthly basis or a weekly basis or the cleaners can be paid at the conclusion of each visit. It is entirely up to the customer to decide what suits them and their circumstances,
Do I need to provide any supplies or equipment?
For your convenience there are two programs you may choose from. The first one does not include any supplies or equipment for cases that you have all the necessary supplies and equipment and you want to lower your cost. In the second program we will supply all necessary supplies and equipment.
How do you ensure reliability and honesty?
At the induction briefing these qualities are stressed thoroughly and quality control procedures are in place to ensure that the cleaners operate in a reliable and honest manner.
We also check the references that are provided to ensure that the cleaners have a proven employment record. We DO NOT introduce cleaners who cannot provide us with satisfactory references.
What happens if the cleaner lets us down?
Shipshape Cleaners consider every client as a valuable customer. The cleaners are vetted for reliability and we try to ensure that you are never dissatisfied. Occasionally, events may occur which are beyond our control and we may have to substitute your cleaner, temporarily or permanently.
Please call us as soon as possible if you are dissatisfied and we will do our utmost to ensure the mistake is rectified and never repeated.
How long will it take you to find me a cleaner?
Shipshape Cleaners endeavour to meet all requests as soon as possible and we will respond to all queries within 24 hours.
Time, location and work-load all have an influence on the ability to supply a cleaner but in most cases we will have someone available within 24 hours.
Are staff uniformed?
Yes all staff are uniformed and are required to be in uniform at all times when on site.
What is the difference between normal and deep cleaning?
A normal weekly clean will take on average one hour whilst a deep clean can take 3 to 6 hours and involves more cleaners depending on the size of the building. With deep cleaning all surfaces, woodwork, sills, doors etc. will be wiped down with a cleaning solution whilst in a normal clean they will probably be dusted. With a deep clean furniture that can be moved will be moved whilst in a normal clean this is done periodically.
